About Me

Hi I’m Alison!

I like to refer to myself as a wellness enthusiast. To me wellness means a balance of mind, body and spirit. My personal experiences have lead me to a healthy lifestyle, and a desire to help others achieve more wellness in their lives.

In my youth I was a gymnast and a dancer. After high school I began weight training and loved the strength I developed. After having children I started taking yoga and Pilates at my health club. Believe it or not, I was nervous to walk into the group fitness room alone and take class. I was exhausted and achy, but knew I needed something to help me feel like myself again. My mat became my sacred place and a new version of me emerged. I mean it when I say Pilates changed my life! I went from a tired postpartum mom to a stronger, leaner, and happier me. I loved Pilates so much that I wanted to share it anyone I could. I recruited other mom friends to join the gym and take class with me so they could benefit from it too. One day after class the teacher said to me, “You should become a Pilates teacher.” I took her words to my heart and began educating myself. Forward to today, I wake up excited that is my job! Sharing my love for Pilates and movement with others fills me with joy.

When I am not in the studio working with clients, I am most likely watching my kids play sports. Movement runs in the family. I am blessed with an active spouse and two beautiful children. When someone asks how I am, I usually reply, “BUSY, but GOOD!” We love to walk our dogs and play in the sand at the beach. Sunshine, laughter and coffee fill my cup!
